How to expose engine for cleaning on Electrolux EPIC model 6000 SR?

I need to buy a replacement sensor for my bag lockout sensor switch. It's a round plastic piece and the base cracked off with age. I can't find a supplier. I also need to "clean" the engine parts and intake valve since the vacuum isn't drawing air like it should, but mostly works okay. How can I access the motor, there doesn't seem to be any screws to remove?

I had the same question and the above answer worked. Along each side is a piece of trim molding that has to be slid along the side by opening the bag door and pulling the trim out the same end. It works!

open the bag door las thought you are going to replace the bag and pull out the rubber side pieces (looks like the molding on the side of a car). One (the length of each side) on each side - this will free up the top. you will have to reach in and disconnect a clear hose before completely rolling over the top to expose the interior. reassembly is just the reverse.

I have the *exact* same problem.
I try to gently remove the back with a flat screw driver, no luck (i dont want to break the plastic).
I have looked everywhere for screws, couldn't find any.

Anyone had luck opening it?
