i have just aquired a 307 peugeot 1.4 diesel s and it seems to have lost power it drives ok bit with no power it was sitting idle 4 6 months i have been told it could be ignition coils could that be true

Hi Darren, first off your car being a diesel it does not have ignition coils, as it has been sitting around for a while change the fuel filter as it is probably contaminated this will allow the fuel to get to the injectors easier and check the air filter and the air inlet trunking to make sure its not blocked with a birds nest!
