I am a beautiful yellow Saab 9-3 Convertible. My lady owner is totally in love with me, but I have a problem. Every time my engine warms up I take control of the throttle and make the engine race & slow down at will. My owner has no control. The only way she can stop me doing this is to disconnect my air flow thingummy and that makes me a real pig to start. Have you any clues as to why I am doing this and what can be done too stop me?
i have the same problem, either the idles increases, or decreases to the point that it stalls.

chances are the problem is the idle air control valve which is sticking, you can try replacing it which will cost a bob or 2, alternatively remove, spray some carb cleaner into it, shake to remove everything and allow to dry (seconds).

I think u need to see a DOCTOR to diagnose the problem from the symptoms u have described.
