How do I hook up an old tv with no scart to freeview digital box?

I have an old Panasonic tv with no scart on the back. I have a technosonic freeview box. I have the aerial coming in and hooked to the back of the freeview box. I have the freeview connected to the tv but am unable to receive freeview as I am not sure how the reemote is programmed. The tv remote does not work for the freeview. I have a freeview remote but am unable to get it to work and I have lost (or rather the hubby) has lost the instructions. Or is it that I need a scart connection from the frreview box to the tv? Any suggestions are gratefully appreciated. Many thanks!

I had the same problem. What you need is a Universal Modulator which is ideal for TVs without a scart connection. Try contacting Maplin electronic specialists who are on-line.

If your TV has phono type input connectors for sound and vision, you could use a SCART to Phone load.

You'd have to manually switch the TV to Av input when tyou want to view the digibox.

Alternatively, if money is too tight for a new tele, get an old CRT TV - should be bottom dollar now that everyone is chasing LCD ones.

Most (budget) Freeview boxes cannot output Freeview via the aerial connector so they need a TV with SCART.
