How can i get rid of spyware?

Hi, i have a laptop with vista o/s. I use AVG for antivirus, which when i run reports of no viruses, when i run my anti-spyware progs, which are Spybot S&D and Ad-Aware 2007, spybot reports of a spyware item named as myweb.mywebsearch. It will not delete it or quarantine it, when asked if spybot may run on boot-up, i let it, but still fails to remove it? Any ideas.
Thanks

The guy is right spywaredetector full regis version(not free) at spywaredetector.com will remove all keyloggers, trojans everything that your antivirus can't remove or detect. I do not have any affilitation w that company(plimus) but I must say it finds and removes every type of spyware, malware, trojans etc. There is no free program that can do this. Updates are avail every day; Program w license abt 25.00 per yr.

Your registry is infected with this spyware. A real good program to use is Max Spyware Detector which costs around $30.00 for the year. It is well worth it and is rated the #1 spyware remover. I use it myself and am a Level2 support technician.

On the Grisoft website you'll find a freeware prog called cwshedder. CWS is a hijacker by Cool Web Search, it's far from cool and is damn irritating. You may also find C Cleaner helpful, it sorts out broken registry files etc and it's free with no added spyware as far as I'm aware. I use all of the above Including Spybot S&D and have no probs as yet, touch wood! LOL
