Where to get a power supply for my TV and how to remove it from the TV?

I have a hitachi 51" big screen television model number 550UX26B Serial number V6K034127. When I push the power button it clicks in the back and the red light under the power supply inside the TV turns on but nothing else happens. They say it is the power supply but I don't know how to go about removing it, or where to buy another one. It was manufactured back in 1996. Honestly I don't even know what the entire power supply looks like. Anything you can tell me would be greatly appreciated. Thanks.
