How can I get Hotpoint Ultima WF865A out of Test Mode?

My 35 day old top of the range hotpoint Ultima WF865A seems to display Test when you ask it to start washing.

Not very impressive Hotpoint!

hotpoint aquarius in test mode, i was about to throw my machine thru the window when i took time out to search the net for a solution, i found your site and it worked, having just got back from hols with 2 kids i had a mountain of washing and am very grateful that your tip worked first time.

Not sure if you ave solved this already, but for anyone else who has this problem and cannot contact Hotpoint here's the solution.

Stop the "TEST" cycle by holding down the "START/CANCEL" Button. ("Test" should disappear off the display)
Then hold down "START/CANCEL" & "ON/OFF" at the same time for a few seconds. The message "d:Off" should appear in the display. Everything should work now.
