vaux vectra 2.2 2001 warning light ( 0 ) wot is it?

above warning light comes on just under the clock intermitantly ....cant find my manual to know what it means and never seen before. it a circle with curved broken(3) lines either side, orange light.

front brake pads need replacing, light comes on when they are at the min 4mm.
