i filled the water up and put new anti freeze in this morning and when i got to work the water had gone down about an inch - the car seems to loose the water when running not when stationery. i only had the car serviced and new brake pads fitted last week

Hi.
i have a corsa b 1.0l. it is losng water but the oil is fine an cant see any leaks anywhere, also pressure tested it an it holds pressure. It has just had the head skimmed etc

Hi Lucy, remove the oil filler cap and see if there is a white salad cream looking deposit on the cap and inside the cam cover if there is you need to get the engine checked for a blown head gasket if not keep an eye on the water level over the next few days it might of been an air lock that has worked its way out and there is nothing to worry about, hopefully its the later.
