How do I replace a timer switch on my Kenmore washer?

I need to replace my timer switch on a Sears Kenmore 80 series washer, model number 110-82980120. How do I get the old one off?

Hello,

Try holding the inner dial while turning the timer knob counter clockwise and see if that does the trick.
