McCulloch Cabrio won't start?

Acquired a strimmer that was'nt being used by my father, and would'nt start. I took it apart and cleaned all the simple bit's, replaced the spark plug and filter, but still nothing.

There is definitely a spark and there is also petrol getting to the cylinder but no go.

I pull for a while but then the cylinder becomes flooded, the petrol even fills the exhaust and starts coming back out of the carb, this is with about 15-20 pulls.

I'm not sure if it is getting too much fuel altogether or if I am just flooding it every time.

Any advice or help appreciated...
