vauxhall vivaro engine?

my vivaro van has an intermitent fault it runs well then out of the blue it sounds like someone has poured some loose nuts and bolts into the engine , then after a while it sounds ok again . any ideas what the problem my be. many thanks.

will be flywheel sensor or flywheel fault if fitted with dual mass unit. dont waste your time and money looking elsewhere!

sounds like its got a fuel blockage, diesels get noisy when starved of fuel, maybe a blocked air vent on th tank.
