1997 Chevy Cavalier. When it gets to running temperature the car dies when at idle but will start back up. Replaced crankshaft sensor and in line fuel filter but did not help. Check engine lite sometimes comes on still giving the crankshaft sensor code but goes out by itself. How can I fix it?

ICM is sticking . Idle control Module. It can be cleaned but replacement is a better route.
Its a mechanical part that has a plunger and it opens and close's to adjust your Idle speed. It will get stuck closed and
not be able to function properly. Usually located on top of the engine near the throttle body.
