brushes not going round?

the brushes on my dyson dc04 absolute have stopped going round. i have checked and the belt is still ok and the brushes are not blocked. any ideas as to what will be wrong with it.

Can you turn them round manual (easily)? If its stiff then the bearings have gone in the black barrelwith the brushes attached.Contact Dyson with the serial number. It may still beunder warranty (which mine was) and they sent me a new one free of charge
