getting black/white picture in dvd player, how to get colour picture?

i am using cyberhome dvd player (CH dvd 300) in UK which I bought in USA but the picture is only black & white, how to get colour picture. any setting changes required?

check the pins on your DVD/TV lead and make sure there is no damage - a black n white pic seems like a partial signal - same as you can get with computer monitor whe not plugged in properly
