How do I get hold of the curcuit diagram for a Bosch tumble dryer WTA 2000 that tumbles but doesn't get hot - is this likely to be the thermostat or the element?

You'll have to take the cabinet apart to see if you have a broken belt or idler. If your not sure how to do this post your model number.
