My washer won't start it's cycle..what's wrong?

Hotpoint Aquarius wma33 1300

Yesterday it blow my electrics and now it just won't start, i turn the knob to start a cycle and the 'door light' just keeps flashing and the door won't lock. Please help!!!!!!

Some machines have small bulbs located around the door area, if the bulb is blown the machine wont start and has been known to trip out the mains fuse.
