indesit wia111. door lock is staying on so can't open the door. help ! what do I do ?

There is often a manual release pull tab somewhere on the machine. It's often located behind the panel which conceals the drain plug on the front of the machine. Prise the panel, (bottom front of machine), off, and look for a coloured tab. Pull this and the door should release.
