It is possibly no more than a lamp blown, but dont think of it like a light bulb, because the same thing happened to my sony tv and the lamp was £200.
I suggest you call in an LG engineer and ask for an estimate, then watch him closely when he opens the panel where the lamp is. Then buy a lamp from someone like comet or currys spares people
