selecting gear on manual gearbox?

the car vauxhall corsa 1200 year 2001 problem having great difficulty in selecting sececond gear it has to be forced in with as much power that i have. The cluch has just been renewed one week ago wether that has anything to do with it i dont know

If the gears select normally with the engine off, then yes - your clutch is dragging badly and disaster will surely follow....
