Braking problem on peugeot 306 td?

When braking my rear left makes a stamping/knocking sound and sometimes locks up, i have a 306 td 1997 with cylinders on the rear

cant help much but mine has the same problem have been told to change the shoes or load sensor on the rear axel not got round to it yet.
