The same thing happened to me. The straightener was dropped onto a ledge and then onto the floor. A piece about 1/4 wide by 1" long broke off the side of the plate. Since it wasn't the entire plate, I have continued using it but every time I do now there is white foam that comes out of the hole. (sort of like dried hairspray bits) I don't use any product on my hair so i have no idea what this is. Is there any way for me to fix the plate?
