Why will my Sony Grand Wega not stay on?

My Sony once switched on alternates between the red and green lights and then turns of. After this a third bottom red light comes on...any ideas what this is?

if it is an lcd projector like mine it could be that the lamp has blown, they are expensive to replace. i am replacing the set
