Went to have tyres changed on the clio but unable to get them done as lost the key lock have been told by renault that the car may need to go back to italy and will cost at lot of money. hELP

What - just because you have lost the locking wheel nut key? A firm called Irwin do a special tool to solve this very problem - it cuts into the wheel nut and allows them to be unscrewed. Renault, in all their wisdom, should have a record of your wheelnut key somewhere - unless you have non original wheels, of course.
