How can I fix the electrics on my 1997 Mercedes E300 TD?

Ever since changing the battery the drivers electric window stops working, the interior lights dont come on when I open the doors and the remote central locking stops working aswell. If I disconnect the battery for about 30 minutes everything starts to work again but only for about 2 days?
