Hi there Josie,
There is not a single virus and there is not a single PC configuration. So the procedure can vary wildly.
Assuming you have no technical background and that your PC still works I recommend the following:
1) Backup all your important data.
2) Delete/uninstall anything you do not require and uninstall all current antivirus programs.
3) Make sure your OS is fully updated.
4) If you have a current antivirus program with a valid licence re-install that and let it update.
If you don't have one, use a freely available such as: avast, etc..
5) Run the antivirus program and let it scan the entire PC and fix any infections found.
