My battery light is on and battery gets drained after a while?

hi, my vauxhall corsa L reg merit diesel 1.5 is having a problem with the battery. I had my battery fully charged but after a week the battery light returned and now the battery is full drained. What can be the problem. Please Help. phone or txt if possible 07925024490. Thanks
