when car is running for about half hour or so then it cuts out and about five min it will start back up and run for a bit but no engine managment light comes on any ideas please car is a 216 rover
I have a similar problem but my engine regularly cuts out unexpectantly when either cold or warm. It starts again once I press the fuel cut off switch/rest button under the bonnet.
What causes the engine to cut out? Do I have a faulty cut off switch or is it something else ?

The rotor arm tracks out and starts to break down when hot, you may need to replace both the distributor cap and rotor arm to match.

hi,check the fuel filter,sometime's there's a plastic transparent one fixed in the fuel line under the bonnet,this is the filter to look out for & change. best of luck
