how do I change circular saw blade on Black and Decker ks55?

The instruction manual i have refers to a KS65 and talks about a spindle lock which i do not have. I can se no way of locking the spindle in order to tighten or losen the locking nut.

No problem
The blade nut will come off the same direction as the blade rotates. If the blade is US then clamp in a vice or push into something soft and find a suitable spanner for the blade nut. Wack the spanner by tapping it with the blade either held of grabbed. the bolt should come loose. Also look at your blade and see if it has a hole, if so place a strong screwdriver through the blade and this will hold it while you undo. It may take many taps for the bolt to start moving. if you need further advice then give solent Tools a phone on 023 8057 8057.
