it will start with a good dosing of easy start but engine makes a terrible clumping noise and then cuts out, anyone have any ideas what it might be.

NEVER od motrs on gas!:fuel starvation.unscrew pipe from fltr housing at inj pmp.press primer repetedly on fuel fltr untill fuel spills.no fuel?.faulty filter/pipes/tank pickup.plenty dsl spilling,then pull wire on solonoid on injection pump,check for 12v.if volts good,remove solonoid strip out spring and plunger.refit solonoid +wire.if starts,renew faulty solonoid.warning van will not turn off with striped solonoid fitted.STALL IT.
