fixing a vauxhall astra timing belt?

i think my timing belt on my vauxhall astra merit may need replacing my engines jumping about all over the place, i have just replaced my distribution cap and leads. please help

If the original timing belt was not disturbed then its not the belt,most likely the leads are not in the right plugs or the dist is not lined up properly.
