clicking noise from front of car?

Hi I have an astra 1996 16v auto,Can anyone out there help,
when driving forward and then brake i get this "click"from the front o/s and when reversing "click"on the n/s.

Not completely sure, but check the CV axles. A bad bearing inside clicks when the weight of the car shifts forward or back.
