if the pc is trying to boot then i doubt the mobo is at fault.
i would need more info than 'it went off' if possible.
should you have a restore disk that came with the pc when you bought it then you could try this first.
set the pc to boot from cd (in the bios set up) and make sure the restore disk is in the drive.
WARNING: this will most likely (should) erase ALL info on your hard drive, if you have files you need to keep then other methods will need to be tried first.
