I just got my first bike! 1986 Suzuki Savage, it has straight handlebars with no windshield. I would like to change them out to regular ones and add a windshield. I could live with the straight bars if a windshield is made to fit. Does anyone know about this?
Also, when I shut off the bike it makes one loud backfire. Any suggestions???? Thanks

try Pyrimid plastics they do a universal screen for a cruiser. if no joy their try ebay.

re backfire.first thing to check is state/security of exhaust header pipes to engine gasket.usually its air being drawn in the header pipe and igniting the unburnt gases.new gaskets fix.
