how can i start my peugot trekker?

My trekker has been stood in a garage for twelve months and wont start. Ive tried a new battery but it just keeps turning over and yet wont start, will taking my immobaliser off do the trick

change the petrol-recharge battery-use kickstart to feed fuel 3 or 4 kicks-use electric start(making sure immob. turned off)
