how do i fix mycentral locking its a 2003 5door astra 1.4 petrol?

when the battery in my key went dead i got a new one put in but it only worked for 3 days so i thought the battery was at fault but even with another battery it still wont work any ideas its a 5door 1.4 petrol astra

turn key to position 2 in ignition and hold down buttons and the doors will lock and unlock, your key is now sync'd to your car, could you tell me how to change battery? i can get the key apart but cannot get the battery out of the little holder
