A car with a spanner through the middle on a vauxhall zafira. I had trouble starting it today, it was turning over but didn't start up until about the third appempt. The revs were running high & I had no power from the gas, there was a symbol on the dash of a car with a spanner through it. Turned engine off & restarted & all was ok. Any ideas what may have caused this??

cars onboard computer has detected a fault and displays symbol to warn u.fault is retained in memory and can be retrieved by dealer or well equiped garage. ignore this warning at your own risk as eventually it will fail to start and possibly damage engine or cat converter.
