laptop overheat?

my packard bell (seriel unknown) will run for a while then turn off, it appears that it is overheating, has anyone an idea of a fix. The machine has been cleaned, ie fan etc and is running ok. cheers

have you taken fan of then cleaned all the thermal compound off the cpu the make shure you reapply a small amount of new compound try this
