Diplomat apm 8620?

I have this tumble dryer. The drum turns, but it is not heating. The thermal cutout switch on the rear is fine. However the power connection from the connection terminal block (Where mains lead enters machine) that disappears down the back of the drum, is not returning any mains voltage. I presume this is the drum temperature cutout and it is open circuit (Cold). The heater elements are both closed circuit and appear to be fine. Can anyone confirm that this is the drum temperature sensor/cutout and tell me how difficult it is to replace. http://shop.ukwhitegoods.co.uk/Tumble+Dryer+Parts/Diplomat/Thermostats/421307856261+-+Zanussi+%252526+Others+Tumble+Dryer+Thermostat.html
appears to be the replacement item if I am correct
ANy help much appreciated

is there any where I can get a circuit diagram? It would make it so much easier to follow what is going on.

Thanks for the info foxy, I guess I will need to look at it a little closer.

However the mains power is on one side of the lead going down the back of the drum, but not on the return. I suppose the test would be to bridge across the the thermo switch and see if the heater works. Are there any other connections between the two ends of the lead down the back of the drum before it returns?

hi, you have no power on the heater connections top left as you look at it.It may be the inlet stat you mentioned part no.421307856261 or it may be the timer. The timer has a cold tumble for the last 10 mins of a cycle. It may not be resetting.Timer part no. 421309230431.
