Does anyone know how to "learn in " a new key on iveco -

Have replaced ignition on tector 75e17 but keys need to be read by immobiliser - dealer wants to charge for whole new set of locks and the vehicle for a day!

try the selling original dealer as all electronic codes are kept on file.
then get lacal dealer to programme IT IS THE ONLY WAY.

iveco immobilizer is impossible to override unless you have the electronic code read your owners manual follow guide. if you have no code you can get it from a main dealer with all your docs and about £160 you might get it. be carefull if ecu or immobizer have beeen changed you may need new ecu + immob ecu + keys etc + only iveco can code them.

you can add a key manually, doesnt work all the time, but here goes, get your electronic key code, ie 6543, with the key in the ignition and turned to no2 position, press the clutch pedal down 6 times, pause, 5 times, pause 4 times, pause, 3 times pause. turn the ignition to number 3 or start. it may work, or may require computer coding. it really is 50/50 if its sucessful.
www.williamsdiesels.com my number is there if you require any more help

The new key needs to key programmed in using the easy computer (iveco's dianostic machine) or you could just put your old key in the black ariel that goes around the ign barrell and tape it in
