Hi. I bought my wife some pink GHD hair straighteners from a car boot a week ago. They have now stopped working. The light comes on but the plates don't heat up. Does anyone know what the problem is and how they can be repaired ? We live in the Leicester area.

100 percent chance they are fakes. ghd wont entertain you if they are fake. many companys recalling them. you can be pretty sure who sold them knew as its been in most papers . go back to the boot sale and try to find them and talk about liability and endangerment etc. you should get your money back pretty quick

i have the same problem as you light on but no heat i think there fakes made in china there alot about at moment when buying look 4 hologram on power cord if not there fakes
