Windows XP started freezing after Windows Updates installed. What can I do?

I have just installed a batch of Windows Updates. They have caused a problem and my PC is freezing up. This will happen several times a day, and it doesn't seem to be related to any particular software which I am using.

I can't use the Restore Point to go back. Windows says it has been unable to use the Restore Point.

I'm not sure I can uninstall updates. They are all inter-woven. This might create more problems than it is worth.

Is there a way to find our what is causing my PC to freeze. (There is no Blue Screen of Death, it just freezes.)

Try doing a system restore......reverse the system to the day previous to your update!
