How can I fix my usb pen?

My usb pen seems to have suddenly stopped working. It was working fine earlier, but after I had tried to use it on a machine that didn't recognise it, it has now ceased to work on other machines that had recognised it previously!

Has anyone come across anything similar?

Does anyone have any suggestions for how I can open the files on it? There were some imnportant files that I don't have anywhere else except on the pen!

Any help appreciated!

Did you run the "Save Remove" function before unplugging it?

If you don't use the "Save Remove" function before unplugging a USB Storage device the drive can be corrupted. The easiest way of correcting the problem is to work out which PC you last used the device successfully with. Plug it back in and run the "Save Remove" function before unplugging it.

(To run Save Remove left-click on the "Safely Remove Hardware" icon in your System Tray and select the device from the popup menu.)
