Your problem is probably either the centrifugal clutch or the gear/reciprocating cutter mechanism. I've had a similar recent problem with mine, (sovereign 26cc hedge trimmer) and the problem is in the gear / reciprocating cutter mechanism. I will be stripping it down soon so I'll post results when I do.
