I have an eighteen month old Panasonic TH-42PX60B television. The televsion switched off by itself tonight and showed no sign of life. I changed the fuse in the plug and now the standby light is flashing ten times in a row followed by a pause but will not switch on. Has anyone any ideas?

This is due to failure of the Power factor correction circuit . The FET gos short and blows the series thermal 10 ohm ww resistor FET is rated at 40 amps on res @ 0.11 ohm or less 500v
