can you tell me why my clock keeps setting to zero

I am looking for an operator's manual in English for the 2005 Renault Kangoo, 1.6L, 16 Valve, 4X4. I bought it in Germany and only have the German version. I'm also having trouble with starting. The car starts fine most of the time but occasionally the starter will go and go, turning the engine over but not igniting. Any ideas?

It could be that the battery is momentarily disconnecting, causing no power to the electrics.
