citroen berlingo 1.9d engine cuts out?

i was driving on the motorway when the oil light came on and then the engine cut out, after re-filling with oil the engine ticks over but as soon as i try to pull away the oil light comes on and the engine cuts out.

Oil light is for pressure.when it comes on during driving its usually to late.Engines running dry.High probability of seizure.You may be out of luck.Only way to check is by partial strip down.
