This happened to mine and it was because it needed descaling. I mixed the descaling liquid in a jug and poured it into the tank. You need to do it over the sink though as loads of stuff came out of the holes! When it eventually stopped steaming on its own, I held the button till the tank was empty and then filled it with clean water and did it again. Takes a while but it worked for me!
