vauxhall cavalier non start?

cavalier non start?
Hi just wondering if anyone can help.i have a 1995 cavalier 1.8 petrol that will not start.fuel supply ok but no spark at plugs, checking wiring to crank sensor there is 3 wires none of these 3 have a live feed from engine ecu when ignition is turned on/cranking over(but coil does have live feed) i suspect that this is causing non start.
if anyone knows of common faults please let me know
thanks

cas is common failure point.output signal should be 4 volt a/c at pin a2 on ecu no live feed.disconnect cas plug and mesure a/c volt at sensor,4volt means ok.other common failure is coil amp pack, find under coil..same symptoms.older cars i find i change more ign amp packs.

The crank sensor if memory serves me right does,nt have a live feed as it,s basically a hall effect speed sensor.
Common problem on these cars is the distributor which will cause the problem you have.
