Re-install xp is easy. Make sure your bios ( cmos ) is set to boot from cd rom as first boot device. If it isn't enter cmos by pressing DEL key or F2 if it says that on screen. Change the boot order to first boot device = cdrom, second boot device = hard drive, press escape key ESC, save and exit, power on the pc with the windows xp cd in the drive and when boot POSt (power on self test) commences, screen will say "boot from CD, press enter, press ebter, screen will say "boot from cd press any key" press any key and follow on screen prompts. It depends on many things, including what PC you have, do you have a restore partition on your hard drive or CDs, etc

Second, why do you want at to reinstall it. The copy on this PC has been there for five years.
